Algebra I

Students collaborating on Algebra and coding activities in class

Welcome to Algebra I

Dunne STEM Academy • Class of 2030

We merge classical algebra with computer science so our scholars can build, lead, and launch bold ideas for Chicago. This classroom celebrates Black excellence, innovation, and the power of community-centered future-building.

Our Curriculum & Tech Fusion

We use the CME Algebra I curriculum as our foundation and supercharge every unit with coding, logic, and computational thinking. Students learn to solve equations and design digital solutions, building the mindset to become creators, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers for their neighborhoods.

Algebra Foundations

Linear equations, functions, and reasoning strategies that prepare students for high school success.

Coding Connections

Students translate math patterns into simple code to explore automation, logic, and real-world modeling.

Entrepreneurial Thinking

Math + coding becomes a toolset for creating solutions, building confidence, and imagining future businesses.

Parent & Community Connection

Got questions, concerns, or wins to celebrate? Shoot Dr. Joy a text! We partner with families and community to support every scholar.
